Computer Labs

The College of Liberal Arts currently manages 14 computer labs and 23 kiosks located in various buildings throughout main campus. All software and data listed here are available in every CLA-owned computer lab, smart classroom, and kiosk.

In addition to the 14 labs listed above, there are a total of 22 kiosks in Anderson 215, outside of Anderson 103, outside of Weiss 640, in the hallway of the second floor of Tuttleman Hall, Gladfelter 310A and in the lobby of the CLA Academic Advising Center in 1810 Liacouras Walk.

*Seating Capacity represents the number of student seats. All computer classrooms, with the exception of the drop-in labs (Anderson 21, Tuttleman 201, Tuttleman 204 and Ritter Annex 844), include a dedicated teacher station and a smart classroom presentation system.

CLA Lab Hours

Fall/Spring Semesters and Study/Exam Days		Summer Sessions, Spring Break, and Winter Break
All the labs listed above are open 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM on Fridays. The exceptions are Weiss 640, Gladfelter 513 and Tuttleman labs. Weiss 640 closes at 7:30 PM daily. There are no weekend hours. Contact the Writing Center for Tuttleman 201 and 201D lab hours. Contact the Honors Program for Tuttleman 204 lab hours. Contact the Criminal Justice Department for Gladfelter 513 lab access and hours.		All the labs listed above are open 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM Monday through Friday with the exception of the Tuttleman labs and Gladfelter 513. There are no weekend hours. Contact the Writing Center for Tuttleman 201 and 201D lab hours. Contact the Honors Program for Tuttleman 204 lab hours. Contact the Criminal Justice Department for Gladfelter 513 lab access and hours.

CLA Lab and Classroom Software

For the Fall 2011 semester, the following software titles have been installed on the standard lab and classroom image. This image is then set up on the computers in all PC computer labs, computer classrooms, and kiosks as well as on the teacher's stations in the CLA-owned smart classrooms in Anderson, Gladfelter, and Weiss Halls.

CLA Lab Printing Policies

All College of Liberal Arts labs, with the exception of Ritter Annex 844, contain printers supported by the CLA IT department. The College of Liberal Arts computer labs act in accordance with Temple University's student printing policies (PDF).

As of March 26, 2011, students are able to use their personal computers to print to lab printers via the Temple wireless network. This means that printing is no longer restricted to lab computers.

Note that only black & white printers work with this system. Color printers will be added at a future date.

Wireless printing is not enabled for the color printers in Gladfelter 230, 336, and 543.

Assistance in CLA Labs

All College of Liberal Arts labs are supported by the CLA IT department out of Anderson 21 and can be reached during operating hours at 215-204-3213.
