Internships

The College of Liberal Arts IT department has numerous projects in various stages of development created specifically for student intern input. The internships provide invaluable hands-on experience in a wide range of disciplines. Students work directly with CLA IT staff as well as faculty in a professional work environment with the opportunity to tailor projects to their individual strengths and interests.

Broad Area Projects

  • College/Department Awareness and Promotion - increase awareness of College and IT department as well as web and campus presence through implementation of student photography, video, and writing
  • Website Development and Design - update and streamline current College/IT Department websites through implementation of writing and creative web design
  • Building and Classroom Management and Design - redevelopment of current classrooms and space utilization; plan and design all aspects of potential building expansion and renovation plans

The College of Liberal Arts is currently seeking applicants for internships that will begin in the spring 2010 semester. The internships are term-based and for course credit if desired.

We are currently seeking internships in the following areas:

For applicants seeking course credit, we require a time commitment of approximately 140 hours. This is equivalent to 20 hours per week during a seven-week summer session or 10 hours per week during a fall, spring or summer-long semester.
