Welcome!

The College of Liberal Arts Academic Advising Center promotes student-centered responsibility while guiding Liberal Arts majors toward achieving their academic goals by developing a compatible and meaningful educational plan.

The Academic Advising Center in the College of Liberal Arts helps Liberal Arts students plan curriculum, choose majors, make vocational and post graduate plans, and resolve a variety of academic matters. Services are provided by a staff of full-time professional advisers and part-time faculty advisers. The center informs students about the results of placement testing and assignment into corresponding courses. Monitoring of academic progress and graduation clearance is also the responsibility of the Advising Center.

Located on the 3rd floor of 1810 Liacouras Walk. 215-204-7971

Using the Advising Center

Since Liberal Arts students are not assigned an Academic Advisor, all of our Professional Advisors are available to answer questions regarding Core, College, and Major requirements.

Advisors are typically available from 8:30-5:00 Monday through Thursday, and on most Tuesdays during the semester until 6:00. If you would like to meet with an advisor, check the weekly walk-in appointment schedule above . Walk-in appointments last 30 minutes and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is best to stop by early on the morning of the day you would like to see an advisor, as the schedule can fill up quickly. You will be able to sign-up for a walk-in appointment later in that same day, but you will not be able to sign-up for a walk-in appointment for any other day. Please note that at the beginning of the semester and during registration and new student orientation, many students utilize our services, so it is best to plan ahead! New Student Orientation runs from mid-June through August and in January.

Appointments must be scheduled in advance for graduation reviews. Students should schedule their graduation review during the semester before their intended graduation date. Please call 215-204-7971 or stop by the Advising Center to schedule.

We also offer advising at our TUCC and Ambler campuses. Email Dr. Paula Robison at prob@temple.edu to schedule an appointment at TUCC, or call 267-468-8200 to schedule an appointment at Ambler.
