Welcome to the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University!
The department
is one of the leading criminal justice programs in the US,
and offers a range of flexible study options from undergraduate
to Masters and PhD studies. The B.A. in Criminal Justice
is
offered at both our main campus just North of the city center
in Philadelphia, as well as at our Ambler
campus in the suburbs
to the North of the city. Prospective

The Criminal
Justice M.A. program serves students who begin or rejoin professional
careers in management, administration, or specialist positions
in a vast array of governmental and private criminal justice
and related agencies. The Ph.D. degree
program prepares criminal
justice scholars who will provide the future leadership in
academia, private and governmental research agencies, and
policy level positions in criminal justice and related organizations.

Our program now ranked 6th in the US
In the latest doctoral program rankings, the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University improved on its 7th place ranking last year to hit 6th position in US rankings. The Top Research Universities Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index has ranked the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University as the 6th most productive faculty of all doctoral programs in Criminology and Justice Studies (details).
