Temple University conducts training programs for Constables in the Southeast region of Pennsylvania under contract with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). The Southeast region includes Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Northampton, Berks, and Lehigh Counties. The training begins February and continues through October each year. Updated! Enrollment and Enrollment Transfer Enrollment Directions: To enroll, constables are strongly encouraged to register on-line using the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) website. Using the credentials provided by PCCD, log into the Constable's Information System (CIS): https://www.pccdcis.state.pa.us/TrainingSchedule.asp Enrollment Transfer Directions: To transfer your enrollment to another class, print a completed form (below using the link), sign and date it, and FAX to (267) 468-8660 or mail directly to the attention of Ms. Teresa Conley, Constables Training Coordinator, Temple University, Haines House Room 201, 580 Meetinghouse Road, Ambler, PA 19002.

Constables' Basic Course Participant Manual The 80-hour Basic Training program is offered at Temple University's Fort Washington Campus. It is intended to provide newly-elected or appointed Constables with training on such topics as: civil law and process, criminal law and procedure, mechanics of arrest, use of force, defensive tactics, prisoner transportation, courtroom security, crisis intervention, and professional development.
