Faculty / LaTosha Traylor

LaTosha Traylor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice. She received her BA in Women’s Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MA in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Traylor received her PhD in Criminology, Law, and Justice also from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Traylor is an interdisciplinary researcher, scholar, and teacher trained in qualitative research methods. She uses intersectional analytical frameworks in her research on mass incarceration, maternal incarceration, intergenerational cycles of incarceration, and post-incarceration experiences of women.
