Course Goals:

Course goals are to (1) understand the principles of web interactivity, (2) design, code, debug and test  web deployed programs, (3) utilize current development tools, and (4) learn about some issues related to security, scalability,  and re-usability.

 

Topics Covered:

JSP and Java languages, Java beans, multi-tiered client/server architectures, Java Struts, scope and persistence of objects, serialization, intrinsic http objects, multithreading and object synchronization, database transactions, and Ajax web programming technique.
