Financial aid for undergraduates is handled by the University financial aid office.  There are quite a few positions within our department available to students eligible for work-study, particularly in our student labs.  Graduate students are eligible for either teaching assistantships ( Graduate School Financial Aid ) or research assistantships, which are handled by individual faculty members.
