College of Health Professions ranks #3 in NIH funding

February 2008 - The College of Health Professions now ranks #3 in NIH funding to schools of health professions, with over $4 million in NIH awards received in 2006, the latest year for which data are available. Our peer institutions include the University of Florida (#1), the University of Alabama at Birmingham (#2), University of Chicago-Illinois (#4), Boston University, the University of Southern California, and the University of Kansas Medical Center.

The College previously ranked #8 in 2005 and #12 in 2004. The higher ranking reflects a significant increase in research funding by our talented and very productive faculty. I encourage you to review the faculty's research and scholarly activity.

Many thanks for the support that you have provided to the College.
