Mary Sinnott

P.T., D.P.T., M.Ed.

 

Dr. Sinnott has her BS in Physical Therapy from Temple University and her MEd in exercise physiology from Temple University.  She received her DPT from MGH Institute of Health Professions.. Dr. Sinnott served as the President of the APTA Acute Care Section as well as the APTA’s  Health Policy and Administration Section. Dr. Sinnott maintains a clinical acute care practice at Temple University Hospital.  Dr. Sinnott is also the Director of the entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.

Her areas of teaching are in the cardiopulmonary area, pathophysiology, health care system, and Physical Therapy diagnostics.  She is the recipient of the APTA Signe Brunnstrom Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching as well as the PPTA Service Award.

Her research interests include management of patients with acute health care needs as well as cardiopulmonary impairments, health policy and the American health care system, and organizational dynamics including management and leadership initiatives. Ms. Sinnott has lectured locally and throughout the country on topics of organizational redesign, patient management, and change leadership.
