Research Areas

I am currently enrolled in the Department of Physiology Graduate Program and my dissertation interest is in the development of a Computer Assisted Instruction program using a physiological model to reinforce a difficult physiology concept. My study will focus on the improved use of critical thinking skills in students who are better able to apply an improved understanding of the “normal” when applied to a pathophysiological patient scenario.

Clinical Interests

I am currently certified in Post Anesthesia Care Nursing, and work as a staff nurse in a busy PACU during my semester breaks and over the summer. In addition to many years as a PACU nurse, I have an extensive critical care background.
