Clinical Educator

Teaching Areas:

Primary teaching assignments are in the BSN Program.

Courses include:
N141 - Nursing Care: Adult Client Systems
N147 - Practicum I: Care of Adult Client Systems
N396 - Advance Medical Surgical Practicum
N397 - Mentorship

Research Interests:
Include the application of complimentary and alternative therapies; patient education, empowerment and advocacy; and family witnessed resuscitation.

Clinical Interests:
I am a critical care staff nurse at an inner-city trauma center. In addition, I have a background in medical-surgical and oncology nursing.

Service Interests:
I am a member of the board of an educational advocacy organization, a nutritional advocacy organization and a medical team volunteer for the Livestrong Challenge/Lance Armstrong Foundation. I run for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training and ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s City to Shore MS 150.
