Dr. Daly is a pediatric psychologist that is active in clinical work, research, and teaching at Temple University. Clinically, Dr. Daly works with children, adolescents, and families who present with problems related to emotions, behavior, and/or academics. He also directs the pediatric psychology rotation for the psychology clinical internship program. Areas of research expertise include children with chronic illness, school based mental health services, sleep loss in adolescents, prevention and resiliency in urban youth, and evidence-based psychosocial interventions in youth. Dr. Daly is currently the Principle Investigator for a Pew Foundation funded study that implements an evidence-based prevention program for first and second children in a school-based setting. The goals of this study are to promote positive parenting techniques and social competence for at-risk young children attending Temple’s four partnership schools. Dr. Daly has presented at local, national, and international conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for various journals. Dr. Daly teaches an undergraduate course in Health Psychology and Human Behavior.
