ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Admissions requirements are listed below. In making admissions decisions, faculty will consider the applicant’s entire professional history. Students may be admitted at the beginning of Fall semester only.

All applicants must meet the following requirements:

.        Attainment of an entry-level degree in physical therapy

.        Minimum of 1 year experience in practice prior to admission. (At the time students are promoted to candidacy a minimum of 3 years of clinical practice is expected.)

.        Acceptable GPA (3.0) in entry-level physical therapy course work

.        Acceptable GRE scores (50th percentile). Applicants who can document the ability to do graduate work may apply for consideration of GRE waiver.

.        Statement of Professional Plans and Goals

.        Two letters of reference

.        On site interview with departmental faculty.

.        International students must submit TOEFL scores (575 minimum). Students admitted with a TOEFL score below 600 are required to take an English skills course their first semester at Temple.

.        International students must have their physical therapy educational transcripts reviewed by a credentialing agency in the United States, complete any coursework that is lacking and pass the United States physical therapist licensure exam.
