Application Instructions for the Advanced Post-Professional MS

You should include a statement of professional plans and goals on a separate but attached document as indicated in item 22 on the application form. You can also include a separate statement of exceptional circumstances as indicated in item number 23 of the application form only if appropriate. For item 14 on the application form, you should choose Health Sciences Campus.
A $50.00 non-refundable fee must accompany the application (you can send a check or money order with the mailed application or you can pay on-line if you completed the on-line application.)

You will need to have additional supporting documents mailed for the application including:
1) Two Letters of Reference:
At least 2 letters of reference on the “Reference Report for Graduate Study” form that can be found at: http://webserv.adminsvc.temple.edu/GradApp/popDownloadforms.asp
You should complete Section I of each reference form and have the person providing the reference complete Section II. After completion, these should be sealed and sent only by the person to the address above.
2) Academic Records:
All applicants must submit one certified copy of official transcripts from every college and university attended, including Temple University if you have completed coursework here. Temple University provides a request form that you can obtain for this purpose which can be found at: http://webserv.adminsvc.temple.edu/GradApp/popDownloadforms.asp
Complete section one of this form and mail/fax it to the Registrar’s office at the colleges or universities that you have attended requesting the completion of part two. Request that the university return it in a sealed envelope bearing your official transcript to the address above.
3) Standardized exams:
You are required to take either the Graduate Record Exams or Miller Analogy Tests as part of the application process. A percentile of 50% on either of these is part of the admissions requirements. When taking these exams, designate Temple University as a recipient of the scores. You can find out more about these standardized exams at:

Additional Information:
• Information on financial assistance is provided on page 3 of the application instructions. General information on tuition and fees are located on page 4 of this document.
• Applications should be received by 12/1 for spring admission and 8/1 for fall admission.
• We will contact you regarding an interview to complete your application process. Interviews are completed in two formats including face to face or over the phone depending on the location of the student.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate degree or 3.5 in last two undergraduate years or 9 s.h. of graduate credit with a 3.25 GPA
50th percentile on the Miller Analogy Test or Graduate Record Exam
One year of clinical practice
