Occupational TherapyProspective Students
Welcome, my name is Jaclyn Shay and I am a student in the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program here at Temple University. I am here to provide answers to any questions that you might have about joining us here at Temple. Below is some information that my classmates and I thought would be helpful. Go here to apply: https://accounts.temple.edu/ Financial Services: The HSC Office of Financial Services is located in the Lower Basement of the Student-Faculty Center (aka Student Union Building or Student-Faculty Conference Center). In room LB41. Francine Miles Usually answers the phone and can answer most of your questions: 215.707.2667. Some FAQ's regarding Financial Services can be found here: http://www.temple.edu/sfs/faqs.htm Housing: Some of my classmates live in the city and take public transportation to the Health Sciences Campus. Many of my classmates live outside the city and commute via car. A few classmates live in the residence hall of the Podiatry School, at 8th & Race Sts., and take the free shuttle to class. There are always HSC students looking for roommates, and I would be glad to get some numbers off the bulletin board for you. There is also a database of off-campus housing, and other information available from the Housing Office: http://www.temple.edu/housing/ Parking (semester): All students are guaranteed access to fee-based parking in a nearby lot. For more information, go here: http://www.temple.edu/parking/gacchsc1.html Day Parking: Metered spaces can be found on Broad Street, and day parking is also available in hospital lots, for a fee: http://www.health.temple.edu/tuh/General_Information/parking.html Transportation: The Campus Shuttle: This shuttle bus runs several times daily between the Ambler Campus, Tyler School of Art, Health Sciences Campus, TUCC, and the Main Campus and is free to Temple students: Philadelphia has great public transportation, including subway, trolley and bus routes.
