  • This program is for Registered Nurses who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • One hundred and twenty-three (123) credits are needed to complete the BSN degree.  A minimum of 30 credits must be from Temple University.  See student educational plan worksheet for curriculum requirements.
  • Classes are available in the evening and on-line.

  • Nursing faculty provide advising for all students in the program. Prior to applying, contact Sara Swan (phone: 215-707-5018) to set up a pre-admission advising appointment.
  • Nurses who show evidence of an unencumbered Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse and official transcripts showing evidence of completion of an NLN-AC accredited nursing program receive 32 transfer credits for pre-licensure nursing coursework.
  • Once admitted to Temple University students are permitted to take a maximum of nine (9) credits concurrently at community college.  Upon enrollment in 4000 level nursing courses no additional transfer credits will be accepted.
  • Temple University has transfer agreements with area community colleges.  The Temple University Undergraduate Bulletin, www.temple.edu/bulletin should be consulted for details on these agreements as well as University policy related to transfer students.
