Are you searching for a major that will give you many excellent job opportunities after graduation?  A career that will allow you to work at many different employment sites in the health care system?  The Health Information Management (HIM) degree allows you to combine your interests in health care, business, and information technology. 

 The Department of Health Information Management is currently accepting applications for Fall 2008.  Please note that Temple core courses and the HIM prerequisites may be taken in the fall, spring or summer semesters, so do not wait to apply.  Submit your application as soon as possible. Applications are processed as soon as they are received and students may be accepted for Fall 2008, effective immediately.

If you want to apply, you can either apply on-line or call for an application: 

Temple student: Submit a College of Health Professions (CHP) application only
Undergraduate Application or call 215-707-4800

Transfer student: Submit a Temple University application only http://www.temple.edu/undergrad  or call 215-204-7200

The Health Information Management program has been at Temple University since 1967 and is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs in collaboration with American Health Information Management Association.  Graduates of the program are eligible to take the national certification examination and earn the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential, which has both national and international recognition.
