Pearson McGonigle Halls

3rd Floor Rec Courts

This newly constructed 30,500-square foot space provides opportunities for activities such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, as well as an indoor golf driving range.

The Pearson McGonigle Rec Courts are an indoor multi-purpose court space divided by 3 1/2 mechanical curtains that can section off specific court areas or be raised to allow for full area events.

The indoor golf driving range is available upon request on Monday through Friday from Noon-2:00pm and Sundays from Noon-8:00pm. Contact Devon Rembert, Assistant Director of facilities, at 215-204-0591 for further questions.

The Rec Courts offer an equipment loan program to all of its patrons with valid Campus Rec Access. The equipment is able to be used by patrons in the facility during business hours.

Fitness Mezzanine

The Fitness Mezzanine is a new informal recreation area located on the second floor of Pearson Hall. The 2,200 sq. ft. Fitness Mezzanine features the following equipment: 12 cardio machines, 8 selectorized pieces, interactive Xbox Kinect and Nintendo Wii gaming stations and 2 heavy bag and 2 speed bag workout stations. Heavy bag/speed bag and gaming stations are available during designated hours; please check the Campus Recreation website for more information. General Campus Recreation access policies apply. Access to the Pearson Hall Fitness Mezzanine Area must be through the second floor - Room PH-200. Climbing Wall

Climbing Wall Recreational climbing is available in the Pearson McGonigle Halls Atrium on a 26 foot climbing wall and 12 foot bouldering wall. Hours of operation are listed on the Campus Recreation web site each semester. Equipment available for recreational use includes harness, carabiners, and shoes. Orientations, belay certifications and climbing clinics are offered at specified times throughout the semester. ID with valid recreation access is required to enter the climbing wall area. Special event activities offered throughout the semester as well as alterations to the normal schedule will be posted in the facilities in advance. Pools 30 and 31

Recreational swimming is available in Pearson McGonigle Halls Pool 30. Click here for Hours of Operation. Specific hours are identified for lap swim only, allowing for productive workouts, with other hours identified as open swimming. For more information, click here to visit the Aquatics page.

Locker Rooms

The Pearson McGonigle Halls Locker Rooms are located in the lower basement with the shower and restroom facility. Day-use lockers are available to patrons as well, but you must supply your own lock.

Gym 145

Gym 145 is located on the first floor in Pearson McGonigle Halls. The gym is used primarily for Sport Club practices.

Located on the first floor, the Pearson McGonigle Halls Gym 100 is used in the evenings for intramural sports.
