Center For Asian HealthCenter for Asian Health is part of Temple University's College of Health Professions. Established in 2000, the Center is one of the first in the nation dedicated to reducing cancer and other health disparities among Asian Americans. The Center's mission is to raise the physical, mental and social health of Asian Americans to the highest possible level. The Center's overarching goal is to facilitate the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate comprehensive health services to Asian Americans. Grace X. Ma, Ph.D., Professor of Public Health, is founder and director of Center for Asian Health. Since its inception, the Center has received grants from Federal, State and private sources. The Center's programs provide a cultural bridge for underserved and uninsured through a community-based participatory model that incorporates multilevel effort in research, training, community health programs and clinics, and research dissemination.
