Grants for CBO Partners



Center for Asian Health annually awards small grants to ACCC members and other Asian community organization partners. Successful applicants focus on critical health or health-related issues in their respective Asian communities. Examples of funded projects have included tobacco education and cancer prevention.

Key Objectives
  • To mobilize and increase Asian community participation in health issues, including community-based activities in cancer, tobacco and health issues
  • To build community-based partners' capacity in reducing and eliminating health disparities.

  • Youth Anti-Tobacco Poster Contest--Korean Community Services Center
  • Youth Anti-Tobacco Theater Play --Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia
  • Avoid Tobacco - Chinese Youth Anti-tobacco Poster Contest--Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic School
  • Good Health, Good Life - Cambodian Seniors Outreach Project--Cambodian American Senior Association
  • Anti-tobacco Poster Contest for Vietnamese Youth--Vietnamese United National Association of Greater Philadelphia
  • Let's Be a Healthy Community, NO SMOKING!--Korean Community Media Campaign Project, National Second Generation Asian American Federation and Asia Times
  • Time to Make a Choice! (anti-tobacco sculpture)--Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic School
  • Mom, I Look Just Like You! (anti-secondhand smoke sculpture)--Jaisohn Medical Center in collaboration with Young Sang Korean School
  • Devil of Smoke (awareness of secondhand smoke)--Greater Philadelphia Overseas Chinese Association
