Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Disbursements
Temple University has an agreement with participating lenders to disburse student loan proceeds electronically.
Who is eligible?
A student who has: |
Loan proceeds will be: |
| Checked "Yes" to EFT on his/her student loan application. | Automatically credited to the student's tuition account. |
| Checked "No" to EFT on his/her student loan application | Posted to the student's tuition account but NOT credited. A Borrower Authorization Statement (BAS) will be mailed to the student for signature. If you have not completed your Entrance Interview for loans, your loans will not be credited. Entrance Interviews are handled in Students Financial Services , Ground floor, Carnell Hall (215-204-2244) Upon receipt of the signed BAS, the loan proceeds will be credited to the student's tuition account |
Check Disbursements
A student will be notified as soon as the University is in receipt of his/her check(s). Students must come to the Bursar's Office location shown on the notice to endorse the check(s).
Any checks issued under the PLUS program will be forwarded ,along with a refund request, via certified mail to the parent or guardian for signature. As soon as the University
receives the endorsed check and the completed refund request form, the funds will be credited to the student's tuition account.
Under federal regulations, Temple is required to return loan proceeds to your lender within ten (10) days of receipt if loan proceeds are not negotiated.
If loan proceeds meet the minimum payment required your registration will be confirmed. If an overpayment occurs from the processing of loan proceeds a refund will be issued
in accordance with University guidelines.
