Job Description:
Eagle Radio is seeking a Sales Manager for its Hancock and Baraga operations. The successful candidate leads a team of professionals involved in Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Promotions and Networking. The Sales Manager is expected to continually improve overall business performance, and develop their sales executives for success. Motivates, trains and develops Sales Executives. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of each sales executive. Proactively develops and implements sales strategies and marketing promotions, support processes, and productivity tracking in order to maximize productivity. Assists in the establishment and monitoring of a professional work environment to ensure a positive work culture that is conducive to the ethical market conduct of sales executives. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to make an established range of decisions.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or similar discipline OR at a minimum, a High School Diploma/GED and an equivalent of education and experience
Experience Required:
Must have a minimum of 3 years radio or media sales and training * Radio industry and technology experience preferred * Proven pattern of success in: Outside, business-to-business sales, Staff management and leadership, market and customer development, product and/or project management, recruitment and personnel development.
Other Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff, management and customers * Deadline-driven and detail oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement * Valid Michigan driver's license/vehicle and insurance required. Must have good driving record and be insurable to operate fleet vehicles * Computer skills are required, with a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Keyboarding * Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory result of a Security Background Check, pre-employment drug testing, and pre-employment physical.

The Flint/Saginaw/Bay City market is a full service sports market. Our sports department covers sporting news in the traditional high school and collegiate venues in our immediate market as well as professional sports such as baseball, football, basketball and hockey in Detroit. Our sports coverage also extends to the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Each year the Buick Open in Grand Blanc is a major focus and endeavor of our sports and news efforts.
We’re searching for an energetic, knowledgeable, experienced anchor and aggressive reporter for our competitive and complete sports coverage. Our winning candidate must be a strong writer, have sharp news judgment, excellent technical skills and the ability to work well with others. Organizational skills are particularly important in producing a successful sportscast.
