Dancing Ferret Discs/Noir Records Internship

Location:  Dancing Ferret 526 South 5th Street

Hours:  20 per week (tbd)

Reports to: Joe Scott (Isotank), Mark Schulz (Dancing Ferret)

Expectations:

• professional attitude (punctual, polite, etc)
• interest in record label workings: some knowledge advantageous
• interest in alternative/industrial/electronic music: some knowledge advantageous
• task and project oriented
• will need to be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods of time.

Tasks:

• Administrative assistance (mailings, receptionist)
• Internet presence (myspace, facebook, livejournal, blogs, etc)
• Maintain label stock (organize & inventory)
• Promotional mailings (dj and reviewer pools)
• Street team promotions (flyering, etc)
• Soundscan reporting
