The Dorothy Taubman Seminar teaches the principles of the Taubman Approach through in-depth instruction, hands-on sessions and master classes.

Gordon Institute for Music Learning

July 5-15, 2016
Professional Development Levels Courses, Gordon Institute for Music Learning July 5-15, 2016 GIML Level 1 PDL courses in Elementary General Music, Early Childhood Music, and Instrumental Music will be offered for practicing and pre-service music educators who are interested in furthering their understanding of audiation and enhancing their teaching through an audiation approach. The framework for all classes in the PDLCs will be provided by music learning theory, developed by Dr. Edwin E. Gordon. Unique practical application of the theory and its practical application will be presented by faculty who are experienced in teaching, authorship, and research based on music learning theory.

Wind Conducting and Teaching Workshop

July 11-15, 2016

Wind conductors and educators of all levels are invited to participate in the fifth summer WCTW in Philadelphia.  Daily sessions will explore physical gestures and relationships to sound, baton technique, rehearsal technique, approaches to score study, percussion tips, programming and repertory ideas, and more.  Three Tracks of Training are offered, the Chamber Track Participants receive a public, recorded performance at the end of the workshop.

Temple Sings invites choral conductors and enthusiasts to gather in Philadelphia for an opportunity to hone their complete choral craft – from daily master-classes in conducting gesture to interest sessions on a wide variety of topics, including rehearsal techniques, score study, vocal health and technique, selecting excellent repertoire and reading sessions.
