BCM&D Records Releases Music of Ansel Adams: America and Overture, Waltz and Rondo for orchestra, jazz piano and trumpet

The Temple University Symphony Orchestra's recording of a work commissioned by the Boyer College and inspired by the photographs of Ansel Adams, is now

available for digital download on iTunes, CD Baby and other major online retailers. The New York and Philadelphia premiere of the original work, Ansel Adams: America, which featured the projection of 100 photographs by Ansel Adams, was performed by the TUSO at Lincoln Center and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts under the baton of conductor, Luis Biava.

 

Overture, Waltz and Rondo for orchestra, jazz piano and trumpet, features the TUSO under the baton of Luis Biava. The work was commissioned by the college from composer Bill Cunliffe, who also plays piano on the recording along with Terell Stafford on trumpet.
