The Jazz faculty brings myriad teaching, touring, recording, publishing and arranging experience to their roles as educators and mentors. They are visiting artists and clinicians at national and international jazz festivals and workshops. They have received Grammy nominations and awards. They have performed with the masters: Ella Fitzgerald, Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughan, Benny Goodman, Marian McPartland and McCoy Tyner and Billy Eckstine. They have toured with some of the most prominent bands and orchestras throughout the world: Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, Mingus Big Band, Benny Golson Sextet, Billy Taylor Trio, Count Basie Orchestra and the Terence Blanchard Quintet. And, the faculty brings teaching experience from, amongst others, Julliard, Berklee, New School University, New York University, Amsterdam Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music.
