Ensembles

The Temple choirs are open to all University students by audition and provide potential performers and teachers with excellent choral ensemble skills. Non-music majors from a variety of backgrounds are given the basic skills to enjoy a lifetime of choral ensemble singing.

Concert Choir (MUS 4300, 0-1 credits) is a highly select auditioned choir which meets on Tuesday and Thursday's from 12:40-2:30 during fall and spring semesters.  The Concert Choir is a touring choir and often represents the college of music in national venues.

University Singers, University Chorale, and University Chamber Choir (MUS 3300, 0-1 credits) meet Monday and Wednesday's from 12:40-2:30 during fall and spring semesters.  These three choruses are open to all University students and perform a variety of choral repertoire from a broad range of historical styles.

Recital Chorus is a voluntary chorus recruited by MM in Choral Conducting graduate students and meets on Monday's from 2:40-4:30 during fall and spring semesters. 

Graduate Conductors Chorus (MUS 4310, 0-1 credits) is a chamber ensemble that consists of singers auditioned from Concert Choir.  Each singer is awarded a grant for weekly rehearsals with MM in Choral Conducting students and meets on Monday's from 2:40-4:30 during fall and spring semesters.
