Nathaniel Rosen, cello

Mr. Rosen achieved international stardom as the first American cellist to win a gold medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition, shortly after winning the coveted Naumburg Competition in 1977. Since then, he has performed with many of the major orchestras in the United States and Europe.

Natalie L. Hinderas Piano Master Class

George Walker, composer and pianist

Acclaimed composer-pianist George Walker has published over 90 works, was the first black composer to receive the Pulitzer Prize In Music and was the first black instrumentalist to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra.  His Piano Concerto was premiered by Natalie Hinderas in Minneapolis in 1975 and recorded by her in 1978.

Nathaniel Rosen, cello

Mr. Rosen achieved international stardom as the first American cellist to win a gold medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition, shortly after winning the coveted Naumburg Competition in 1977. Since then, he has performed with many of the major orchestras in the United States and Europe.
