about Dance

From its founding in 1962, The Boyer College at Temple University, located in the culturally rich city of Philadelphia, has stood for excellence in the arts. At this time, I would like to invite you to explore this exciting and vibrant community of outstanding artists, educators, and scholars as you plan to prepare for a successful career in the field of music or dance.

Students at the Boyer College have the unique opportunity to interact with the leading composers, conductors, educators, performers and choreographers while experiencing a challenging and diverse academic curriculum. We are also extremely proud of our affiliate faculty members, many of whom are principals and section members of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Boyer graduates have gone onto rewarding careers as dance professionals, researchers, educators, and members of major symphony orchestras and opera companies throughout the United States and abroad. In addition, many of our graduates are in leadership positions and teaching at the leading colleges and universities throughout the country.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, 'The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." We in the Boyer College strive to provide the knowledge, experience and education to enable our students to turn their dreams into reality.
