In certain cases where distance prevents a personal audition, a taped audition may be considered.  A CD or audio cassette may be sent to Jim Short, Director of Admissions, at the address shown below.  The guidelines are simple:

  1. Present a good, clear recording of your best playing.

  2. Indicate on the recording container the instrument or voice as well as your name and address.

Certain programs have additional requirements.  Please refer to your prospective degree program.

DOCTORAL APPLICANTS

Doctoral performance applicants must submit a taped audition for preliminary consideration along with all graduate application materials to the address below; notification regarding a personal audition will follow the evaluation of the taped audition.

Doctoral applicants invited to a live audition will be contacted about arranging an audition on one of the following dates only after the preliminary taped audition has been received and evaluated:

Wednesday, December 5th – 12 to 3PM

Monday, January 21st – 10 to 12PM

Monday, February 11th – 9 to 12PM
