Dancer for a Day Program

Every Friday during the 2011-2012 Academic Year

 

In the Dancer for a Day program, prospective students are paired with a current undergraduate student for a full day of classes, and will have an opportunity to take ballet, modern, improvisation, and composition classes, observe a repertory class, and speak with current students and faculty. Lunch will be provided in the dormitory cafeteria. This event is for prospective junior, senior, and transfer students only. Families also have the opportunity to schedule a question and answer session at the end of the day.

Open House for Undergraduates

Saturday, November 19, 2011 - Table at the Liacouras Center Information Booth - NO PRESENTATION

 

At the Undergraduate Open House, students and families will have an opportunity to speak with current students and faculty in the Department of Dance. Discussion will include curricula, campus life, performance opportunities, and audition requirements. An informal showing featuring undergraduate and graduate students' work in progress will highlight the afternoon events.

The University Open House begins at 10:00 AM in the Liacouras Center. Students and families will have the opportunity to visit information tables, participate in a campus tour, and enjoy lunch in the dining hall. The Dance Department presentation will begin promptly at 12:00 PM in the Conwell Dance Theater. The Conwell Dance Theater is located on the 5th floor of Conwell Hall on the NE corner of North Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue.
