Music Studies Faculty

The Department of Music Studies has built a diverse range of faculty in Composition, Musicology, and Music Theory.  The small size of our student body enables each individual, undergraduates and graduate students alike, to build close mentoring relationships with faculty.

Our composition faculty include nationally and internationally performed composers who specialize in a variety of areas including electro-acoustic music, visual processes, and post-tonal techniques.  Our musicology and music theory faculty are highly respected authors in their areas of expertise.  Their research interests range from Telemann to gender theory to Shenkerian analysis to hermeneutics.

For more information on where and when they will each be presenting their work, please visit our Boyer Music Studies in the World page.
