Minors in Music and Dance

Music and Dance Minors allow undergraduate students outside of the Boyer College to develop a foundational background and some specialization within these fields. At 20-22 credits, Minors are an excellent option for students who wish to receive a higher degree of training than a Certificate, but are seeking a degree in another program.

Music Minor

The Minor in Music is a 20 credit hour program for undergraduate students who are not music majors, but wish to enjoy music in the Boyer College as part of their Temple experience. Students complete, or test out of, 5 credits in music theory for non-majors, and then may select from an array of courses in music theory, music history, jazz, technology, private lessons, or performance ensembles.

Students should meet with a Music Studies advisor to determine the course of study.  Contact mstchair@temple.edu
