    • Janet Yamron served on the faculty from 1966-2009.  During that time she taught classes in Music Theory, Conducting,  and Choral Methods. She also served as Coordinator of the Student Teaching program and conducted the University Chorale and University Chamber Singers.  In addition, Miss Yamron served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate students for twenty-eight of the forty-three years.


      Miss Yamron has served as guest conductor and adjudicator  at the regional and national levels. An active member of the American Choral Directors Association,

      Miss Yamron received the ACDA-PA Award for Choral Excellence in July 2012.


      For these many years she served as choral assistant to Dr. Elaine Brown, former Director of Choral Activities and Founder-Director of Philadelphia's Singing City.

      In addition, Miss Yamron received the Alumni Stauffer Award for Service in 2009.
