      Eric Schweingruber has appeared frequently as a guest musician with The Philadelphia Orchestra since 1997. He has joined the orchestra on its tours of Asia (2005, 2008, 2010) and Europe (2004, 2009), and can be heard on their recent recordings of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 and Symphony No. 6. A former member of the Bay-Atlantic Symphony (NJ) and the Ocean City Pops (NJ), he has appeared as guest principal trumpet with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Opera Company of Philadelphia, and the Delaware and Reading (PA) Symphonies. He also performed with the Oslo Philharmonic during its recent tour of North America. As a chamber musician he has appeared frequently with Philadelphia’s Network for New Music as well as performing on the Saratoga Chamber Music Festival and Luzerne Chamber Music Festival. Mr. Schweingruber is on the faculties of Temple University and the Luzerne Music Center.

      Mr. Schweingruber has a B.M. and M.M. from Temple University, having studied with Donald McComas and David Bilger, and is on the faculties of Temple University and the Luzerne Music Center.
