B.A., Lehman College; M.A., City College, NY; Ph.D., City University of New York; studied composition with Stefan Wolpe and Mario Davidovsky; received grants, fellowships and commissions from New York Foundation on the Arts, Guggenheim Foundation, Fromm Foundation, and Martha Baird Rockefeller Fund; works performed by the Group for Contemporary Music, Parnassus, Washington Square Chamber Music Series, Leningrad Spring Festival, Darnstadt Summer Festival, Houston Symphony, and Riverside Symphony; compositions recorded on CRI.
