Chair, Department of Voice and Opera and Associate Professor of Vocal Studies. B.M., Illinois Wesleyan University; M.M., D.M.A., University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music; private study with Andrew White, Lorenzo Malfatti, Helen Laird, and John Alexander; recital and orchestral performances encompassing a wide range of repertoire; extensive performing as soprano soloist for several contemporary music series including Network for New Music, 1807 & Friends, Mertens Contemporary Composers Festival, Music Old and New, and The Contemporary Music Ensemble; numerous recitals premiering new works; worked with such composers as Lukas Foss and Kristof Penderecki; many performances recorded for public broadcast.
