Boyer Assessment of Student Learning

Boyer faculty and administrators are engaged in an assessment cycle that includes the following:

  1. Articulation of Program Learning Goals (complete)
  2. Ongoing development of Improvement Projects to enhance student learning opportunities (projects in various stages fo development and completion)
  3. Alignment of Program Learning Goals with Student Learning Objectives (ongoing)
  4. Development of assessment strategies that involve course-embedded and program-wide assessment of student learning (some ongoing projects; 2010-2011 assessment goal)
  5. Implementation of assessment plans in each program (2010-2011 assessment goal)
  6. Use of assessment results to evaluate program success and improve instruction (2010-2011 assessment goal)

 

Program Goals statements provide a clear view of a program’s focus and direction. Each program’s goals statements are aligned with learning objectives and outcomes measures to ensure a thorough and comprehensive learning experience for students.
