Past Semesters:
Spring 2009
- Honors General Chemistry II (Chem
1952)
-
The second semester of chemistry for science majors, pre-professional
students, and others in science related fields but with added emphasis on
topics of current interest to the professional chemist. An introduction to
thermodynamics, equilibrium, kinetics, electrochemistry, and descriptive
chemistry.
Fall 2008
- Honors
General Chemistry (Chem 1951)
- Chemistry 1953 (H093), meets pre-professional requirements. Similar to
Chemistry 1031 (C071) but with added emphasis on topics of current interest
to the professional chemist. A quantitative introduction to atomic and
molecular structure, states of matter, basic thermodynamics, and solutions.
Fall 2007
- Physical
Chemistry 3301 (Formally listed as 231)
- Chemistry 3301 (0231),
provides the foundation essential for most higher-level work in chemistry.
Topics covered include thermodynamics, phase equilibria, chemical equilibria,
kinetic theory of gases, chemical kinetics, and equilibrium
electrochemistry.
Spring 2007
-
Molecular Spectroscopy 636
Fall 2006
-
Physical Chemistry 231 (Now listed as 3301)
Spring 2006
