-Richard Ronca and Gordon Chiu just joined the Borguet Carbon Group this past May. Their studies focus on:
  • Identification and Quantification of Functional Groups   on C-materials (SWCNTs, MWCNTs, Carbon Blacks, …
  • Purification of Carbon Nanotubes  (improving old protocols, searching for the new and better ones)
  • Optical Properties of Carbon Nanotubes  (Visible Luminescence of CNTs: its origin and  tunability)
  • Separation of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes  (separating semiconducting SWCNTs from metallic SWCNTs) 
  •  Interaction of Simple Molecules with Carbon Materials (applications for sensing, separations,…)
  • Thermal Stability of Carbon Materials and,
  • Vibrational Spectroscopy of Carbon Materials
