I was
born in Danjiangkou, a beautiful city in China. My hometown is located on
the foot of Wudang Mountain famous for Taoism and Gongfu, and crossed by
Hanjiang River famous for a large dam for generating electric power.
I had
some research experience in the field of surface science before I was
admitted to Temple University. In August of 2005, I graduated from McMaster
University in Canada with a M.S. degree. My thesis focused on studies of
functionalized carbon nanotubes and copper
phthalocyanines with scanning tunneling
microscopy. After graduation, I went back to China and stayed with my
parents for a few months.
I
joined the Borguet group in January, 2007. My research focuses on
studying self-assembly of molecules on solid surfaces.
