I was born in Togo, a small
nation of 4 millions habitants on the coast of West Africa. I grew up in
Lome, where I attended and graduated from high school de Tokoin in 2001. In
high school, I specialized in Physics and Mathematics. My dream was to
pursue a career in Physics. I was very impressed by the contriubtions of
Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton to Physics and the contributions of Laplace,
Poincarre, and Riemann in Mathematics. I moved to the US in 2002 and
attended Camden County College for two years, majoring in Biology. During
my time at Camden Community College, I became interested in Charles
Darwin’s the theory of Evolution.
Upon completion at Camden
Community College, I decided to further my education at Temple University,
double majoring in Biochemistry and Chemistry, and minoring in Mathematics.
I expect to graduate in May 2008. Although my graduate studies are still
undecided, I believe that I have the potential to pursue a career in either
Medicine, Pharmacy or Chemistry.
I joined the Borguet research
group in January 2007, learning the skills and secrets of research. The goal
of my research consists in understanding the
Effect of Doping on the growth, stability,
and non linearity of Hydrogen terminated Silicon (111) surfaces.
I am very determined to find out how the outcome of my research can be
useful for various applications such as wet control, corrosion
inhibition, for the exciting field of growing organic functional groups on
the silicon surface as well as for Bio implants.
