Dr. Neff studies stream and lake ecology. In particular, he is interested in aquatic insect populations. This work is pertinent to drinking water quality and the
chemistry of regional natural waters. He measures things such as potability, acidity, dissolved materials, etc. Another determination is the bacterial contamination of the natural waters. Lakes and reservoirs in the Delaware Valley region are of
particular interest concerning both their productivity and water quality. Sample paper: "Changes in the adult Caddisfly (Trichoptera) community of the Salt River, Kentucky." Trans. Ky. Acad. Sci. 45: 101-108, 1984. |
