Eric Oskey is an Architect and Professor focusing on the integration of material technology, fabrication techniques and computer software into the built environment. His recent investigations have explored the integration of computer scripting as a design tool, its direct effect on manufacturing techniques and the resulting potential for mass customization. He is also investigating the harnessing of latent energy through passive technological techniques, such as the use of hydraulic pressure pads in roadways and wind energy from passing vehicles.
Prior to accepting a position at Temple, Eric taught as a teaching assistant at Cornell University School of Architecture Art and Planning, and as an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University and Temple University. He has served as a design juror at Cornell University, Drexel University, Pennsylvania State University, Philadelphia University and Temple University.
Previous work experience includes the office of Venturi Scott Brown and Associates. He has worked in Moscow, Russia as a planner and developer for a large development firm focused on high end leisure facilities, institutional work and the planning of a small college.
