  Third Year Architecture students won three top awards in the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVRBC) Sustainable Design Competition

Nate Scrivo's Winning Design
Nate Scrivo took First Prize, and his project will represent the DVGBC in the National Green Building Council Awards in November 2006. A team of Andy Allwine and Ayako Okotani won Third Prize. Tim Ranck, won the Community Award.

The project was a 15,000 square foot Safe Haven for homeless men for Project H.O.M.E. in Philadelphia. The work of all three projects was commended for for the creative application of sustainable principles, excellence in design, and sensitivity to the social and urban fabric.

Four nationally recognized practitioners judged the competition. In all, there were 125 entries from four schools of architecture in Philadelphia, and six awards were given. Nate Scrivo and Tim Ranck submitted work done as a project in Professor Sally Harrison's studio, and Andy Allwine and Ayako Okotani submitted independently.
