Driving to campus
From Central and Western Pennsylvania
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 326 (the Valley Forge interchange). Take I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway, for 17.5 miles to exit 345 toward I-676 east, a left exit. Follow I-676 for one mile to the Broad Street exit. Make a left turn at the second traffic light to take Broad Street north for 1.5 miles to campus.
From Northeast Pennsylvania
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension / I-476 South to the PA Turnpike mainline east-west interchange. Remain on I-476, continuing south for approximately four miles to exit 16, I-76 East / Schuylkill Expressway. Take I-76 East approximately 13 miles to exit 345 for I-676 east, a left exit. Follow I-676 for one mile to the Broad Street exit. Make a left turn to take Broad Street north for 1.5 miles to campus.
From Bucks County/Northeast Philadelphia
Take I-95 south to exit 23, Girard Avenue. Follow Girard Avenue for 1.7 miles and make a right turn onto North 11th Street. Follow 11th Street north for 0.75 miles to campus.
From the Southeast Pennsylvania, Philadelphia International Airport, and Delaware
Take I-95 north to exit 22 for I-676 West. Once on I-676 West, immediately exit right onto Callowhill Street, heading west. Follow Callowhill Street for 0.7 miles to North 11th Street. Make a right turn onto North 11th Street and go 1.5 miles to campus.
From Southern New Jersey
- From points south, take I-295 North to the 42/I-76 merge, and take the I-76 West merge toward Philadelphia. Follow to the Walt Whitman Bridge/I-676 split, and remain in the far right lanes for I-676. Continue with directions below.
- From points north, take I-295 South to the 42/I-76 merge, and take the I-76 West merge toward Philadelphia. Follow to the Walt Whitman Bridge/I-676 split, and remain in the far right lanes for I-676. Continue with directions below.
- From points East, take Route 322 or the Atlantic City Expressway to Route 42 North. Follow Route 42 to Bellmawr, at which point it ends into I-76 West. Follow to the Walt Whitman Bridge/I-676 split, and remain in the far right lanes for I-676. Continue with directions below.
Follow I-676 north to the the Ben Franklin Bridge (toll). Cross the Ben Franklin Bridge, staying in the far right lane. At the foot of the bridge, immediately exit right onto Callowhill Street, heading west. Follow Callowhill Street for 0.7 miles to North 11th Street. Make a right onto North 11th Street and go 1.5 miles to campus.
From New York / Northern New Jersey
Take the New Jersey Turnpike to exit 4 for Route 73 North. Proceed on Route 73 North to NJ 90/Betsy Ross Bridge (toll). From the Betsy Ross Bridge, take I-95 south for two miles to exit 23, Girard Avenue. Follow Girard Avenue for 1.7 miles and make a right onto North 11th Street. Follow 11th street north for 0.75 miles to campus.
Parking on campus
Please use the Liacouras Parking Garage on south 15th Street between Montgomery Avenue and Cecil B. Moore Avenue. Temple's Parking Services website lists the rates charged.
SEPTA Mass Transit
Subway: Take the Broad Street Line (Orange Line) to Cecil B. Moore/Temple University station. See the SEPTA clickable map for more details.
Regional Rail: All regional rail lines stop at Temple University station, which is located on Berks Street between 9th and 10th Streets. See the SEPTA clickable map for details.
Route 23 Bus: The Route 23 bus travels northward through the campus on 11th Street from South Philadelphia and Center City Philadelphia, and southward through the campus on 12th Street from Germantown and Mount Airy. See the SEPTA bus schedules for more details.
Philadelphia International Airport
See driving directions given above, or take the SEPTA R1 Airport train to Temple University station. A taxi ride from the airport to campus costs approximately $30.00.
Amtrak
From Amtrak's 30th Street Station, take a SEPTA Regional Rail train to Temple University station.
Greyhound/Trailways Philadelphia Bus Terminal
The Greyhound-Trailways bus terminal is located at 11th and Filbert Streets in Center City Philadelphia. From there, go to the nearby Market East rail station and take a SEPTA Regional Rail train to Temple University station; or take the SEPTA route 23 north bus from any bus stop on 11th Street.
