Class Description:

What is the relationship between the presentation of self in everyday life and the world of theater? How are identities performed in America? From drag performers to American musicals to the Philadelphia Mummers, this course will look at how theatrical performance informs our daily lives and examine whether American identities (sexual, ethnic, racial, national) are natural or constructed forms.
