Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the Facility open on weekends?
A: We will make every effort to accommodate your needs and make special arrangements to have coverage on the weekends if requested. Some additional costs may be incurred.
   
Q: Is there access to the building prior to the event for set-up?
A: Please inform the Conference Coordinator of the time you wish to arrive and she will make arrangements to accommodate your needs.
   
Q: Are there restrictions as to the type of events that can be held at your facility?
A: Temple University is an educational institution and all activities held on our campus must be educational in nature.
   
Q: Is overnight storage available for training materials?
A: We will be glad to store manuals and handouts if delivered prior to the meeting or training.
   
Q: Is AV equipment available to rent?
A: Yes.  For a complete list ofavailable equipment, click here.
   
Q: Can we receive important messages and faxes at your location and have them delivered to the meeting room?
A: Yes. Our courteous staff will deliver important messages directly to the meeting room.
   
Q: Can last minute copies be made for our meeting?
A: Yes. Our staff will be glad to make copies for you. The charges will be added to your company’s invoice.
   
Q: Is there a charge for cancellations?
A: When notified of a cancellation at least four (4) business days prior to the event, there will be no charge for room usage.  Food cancellations are also required at least four (4) business days prior to the event in order to avoid charges. On occasion, some charges, i.e., room set-ups that have already been completed, may still be billed.
   
Q: When corporate training has been scheduled and there is inclement weather, how will we know if the facility is open?
A:

If the entire University is closed, you may listen for the announcement on KYW radio for the school closing #426 for daytime classes. If there is a change in the building opening time at the Fort Washington campus, you may call 267-468-8503, to listen to specific instructions on a recorded message.
