TEMPLE UNIVERSITY AMBLER FALL OPEN HOUSE
TO INCLUDE
FOCUS ON CAREERS AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Where will
your future lead you?
Whether
your interest is working with the landscape or working in a high-rise
corporate office, students can start their road to careers that will last
a lifetime right at Temple University Ambler.
From high
school students preparing for college to adults interested in returning to
school or just taking a few courses, the Annual Fall Open House at Temple
University Ambler will provide the personalized attention necessary to
make informed decisions about a course of study. The Open House
will be held at the Ambler campus, 580 Meetinghouse Road, Saturday,
October 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Temple
University faculty, administrators, and students will be on hand to
discuss admission, adult student counseling, day undergraduate degree
programs, evening degree programs, financial aid, and other important
topics. Students can complete 22 bachelor’s degree programs and begin
over 100 Temple undergraduate programs at Temple University Ambler.
For
students interested in careers that positively influence the communities
in which they live, work, and play, Temple University Ambler will hold a
special program entitled “Careers
and the Environment” October 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Widener Hall.
The program will showcase the three programs that are located entirely at
the Ambler campus: Community and Regional Planning, Horticulture, and
Landscape Architecture. Participants will receive first-hand information
from current students, professors, and alumni in each field.
“This is a
new program we’ve created to give prospective students and their
families a better idea of career paths and educational options available
in these exciting fields, which all tie into the environment,” said
Michael Schlotterbeck, Director of Enrollment Services and Marketing at
Temple University Ambler. “Many do not realize the wide range of
academic fields available at Temple.”
Temple
University Ambler, located 30 minutes from Center City Philadelphia, has a
student population of 3,200. Some of the most popular majors include:
Accounting, Business, Community and Regional Planning, Elementary and
